Introducing the latest in new, original hilts from AusSabers – The Defender V2
The Defender V2 takes inspiration from the original LGT Defender that we sold for years – the key feature always being a slanted, slotted emitter.
Keen to make a new hilt with our own AusSabers spin on it, we set out to capture what made Defender such a hit with our fans – then turned it up to 100!
With light slots cut into either side of the two blade retention screws on the notched and angled emitter, this saber is both beautiful and functional. You may recognise the golden, pulley style thumbscrew – it was the same one we used in our famous AusSabers Electris!
The switch section is flanked by two choke points, which allows this saber to be gripped differently for one or two hands, long or short blades. High grip or low grip.
The lower grenade style grip section is comfortable and easy to hold, and it evokes a feeling of familiarity that our sabers are known for. Finally, a tapered pommel completes the design.
With three colours to choose from, you can tap into your light, dark or neutral side. Will you choose the gallant light of shining silver, the darkness of all black, or the new Bronzed Gunmetal colour?
If you choose this weapon in either a Xeno or Proffie installed option, you’ll find it’s preloaded with a BONUS font – The Defender soundfont, made exclusively for AusSabers by our good mate over at GreyScale Soundfonts!

Just got the bronzed gunmetal and oh my God! It’s so pretty and easy to hold and swing. The blade, although not as bright as a xeno pixel is still very bright. It’s very responsive and the sound of it is exquisite. The only this I can finally say is thank you Keir for all the help and listening to my dumb questions.
