AusVire Control Box V2

AusSabers is proud to present our updated LGT/VHC compatible modular control box – the AusVire Control Box V2! Another collaborative project between AusSabers Australia, and Vire Sabers USA!

This version of the control box was designed to be more compatible than the V1 (which relied on having front mounting screws to attach it with). This version can be mounted from the front the same as V1, or from behind if there are no front screw holes – so long as the diameter of the switch assembly you’re putting it on is 33mm, then there should be a way to fit it.

The box and sleeve assembly are made of machined aluminium – no 3d printed parts here!

We’ve even tapped an M4 hole on the side so you can fasten a greeblie to the side of it. Use the provided lever in the colour of your choice (silver or black, we’ve got both), or maybe an m4 thumb screw. 

The control card pushes down on our specially designed adjustable plunger switch in the box, which in turn actuates the button in the hilt. The card slides off to reveal a rechargeport hole, suitable for either the regular 2.1mm round jack or the newer USB C version. If the plunger doesn’t quite reach the switch in your hilt, just adjust the grub screw in the plunger until it just touches the button. Pushed in too far? Just back the grub screw off a turn or two! The Control Box V2 includes most necessary fixing hardware to attach to your LGT VHC hilt – front m3 screws, m3 pointed grub screws, and mounting screws to attach to the back of the unit if needed.

Box is 44.5mm long, 19mm wide, and projects 12mm tall from the hilt body – screw holes are 35mm apart centre to  centre. See diagram attached for hole placement. Inside diameter of sleeve is 33mm
