What is a Scrapyard saber?

 

Quite simply, we wanted to make a range of our own hilts that incorporate interchangeable and universally adaptable parts – something we’ve never really focused on previously! Scrapyard hilts incorporate some familiar looking pieces, and a few new and unique ones too.

 

The Oracle takes inspiration from arena sabers, and the original Graflex flash.

 

The emitter is a slimmed down, modular version of a Graflex emitter –   now fully VHC compatible. Brass greeblies, a custom designed thumb screw style attachment, and a glass eye make this piece very close to the flash handle on which the world’s most famous saber is based. 

The switch segment features a single centralized switch with several black grooves around the piece, as well as a control box style “grid” pattern running up the side.

The grip piece continues with the grooved pattern; a throwback to arena sabers and even the more recent Saviour saber.

Finally, the pommel is a simple conical piece with a functional D-ring on the base – and can be attached to the belt clips we sell!

 

This saber breaks down into four hilt body parts, which are generally interchangeable with VHC saber parts (including the Scrapyard series available only from AusSabers, and our good friends at Vire Sabers USA).
