Incendius Steel Edition
From: $250.00
The AusSabers Incendius! Our first original hilt, and one of our most popular. We even have a limited number of them with knurled grips now, available via the dropdown below! Simply choose your install type, then your preferred grip and then blade type!
This version is Big Bertha herself – the Steel Edition Incendius. Made from surgical grade stainless steel, this one is not for the feint hearted. She weighs in at over 1.5kg installed, therefore we STRONGLY recommend not using this for dueling.
Why did we make a steel hilt? Well, we do things differently at AusSabers for one, but mostly because unlike aluminium, steel can be heat treated and scorched (commonly referred to as “blueing”). This potentially opens up a whole new world of customization options, however we implore you to always be VERY careful if attempting to perform this type of mod (and ALWAYS remove the electronics before doing so!!!!
Available in various electronic installation options.
All installed sabers come with a blade, charge cable/external battery charger, blade retention screws and spares, as well as instructions.
Overall hilt length 333mm, diameter of grip parts between 33mm and 38mm

This hilt is described perfectly in the description above. It’s hefty.
The quality of the Saber straight out of the box catches you by surprise with firstly, how heavy it is and secondary, how nice it feels in the hand.
I would agree with the above in that it shouldn’t be used for dueling – if this thing caught a finger it would need some pretty immediate treatment.
I bought the Eco-Swing model and given the heavy steel body takes a bit of inertia to get up to speed, it may feel that the smooth-swing isn’t as sensitive for smaller swings but for larger swings it works well!
The ‘flash on clash’ feature does not work unless you hit the body of the Saber purely due to the impact of the polycarbonate blade not being able to affect the steel chassis. I consider this an inbuilt safety feature to not attempt dueling with.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this hilt! Great AusSabers original and will definitely be buying more in the future.

Hi Mick,
Thanks for the kind words mate. I can certainly vouch for the impact that a steel hilt can provide, having broken a finger testing the steel Incendius when they were first made. Definitely not a dueling hilt!
