An evolution of original hilts from AusSabers – The Convergence

The Convergence is something of an amalgamation of existing AusSabers Armoury Scrapyard sabers – an emitter and pommel from the Oracle, a grip from the Consular, and a new switch and control box make up this very inspired saber. Rather than simply making a “darkside” version of the Oracle, on which much of this saber is based, we took the opportunity to build a new hilt from some of the most popular parts we’ve ever had in the shop.

The emitter is a slim, simplified version of the Graflex inspired design we all know and love. Having it available in both silver and black will no doubt open up many possibilities for people making their own saber builds.

You wanted a low profile control box? We’ve got it! At a measly 9mm tall, the new v3 control box and switch featured on The Convergence are sure to be popular features (and available separately). The box screws into the switch module with two small screws, making it easy to remove for duelling (recommended for comfort and safety), or if you just want to make the saber more slimline. Slide the control box card off to reveal the USB C charge port next to the switch (no need to remove the entire box to charge)

The grip is the same as the Consular; a long grenade style handle that is both comfortable to wield and incredibly stylish. The black version has a more matte finish than that found in the Consular.

Finally, the pommel from the Oracle features the same simple tapered design complete with D-Ring that has made this piece the best selling pommel we’ve ever had at AusSabers.

With three colours to choose from, you can choose the gallantry of shining silver, the darkness of all black, or the silver with black grip (my absolute personal favourite)!

Overall hilt length 305mm. Diameter is 33mm except for the control box section (control box is 9mm high at highest point). Please note control box attaches with screws to the front of the switch module – only compatible with switch modules with front holes either end of the button/chargeport holes.
