It’s back! In its original form from 2021, the only ones left IN THE WORLD. I bring you the fourth original hilt from AusSabers – The Apprentice V2 (at a price so low that you’ll need to get in FAST)
The Apprentice V2 has been built as our “standard issue” saber, and has replaced the stock LGT Apprentice that we used to range from 2018 until 2020. The slotted grip, angled shroud and ringed emitter make this one of the most “iconic saber” designs we’ve done to date. The thumb screws are decorative and functional: they hold the emitter shroud in place.
It is comfortable, sleek, and solid enough to duel with (moderate level dueling, and only in the Ecoswing version. If you want something even tougher, look at our Incendius!).
Unlike other hilts we’ve made before, this one comes in MANY different colour combinations. You can buy more than one to mix and match different parts to make your own colour combo too!
We’ve even added a “Special Edition” version, which has a plated sleeve and grip section instead of the regular anodizing. Please note that this version is $25 more due to the higher cost of plating the parts.
The pommel piece for this is the same one as Invictus, and doubles as a connector should you wish to join two of these together to make a staff.
Overall hilt length 310mm, diameter of grip 36mm, shroud 35mm.

Just received an Apprentice V2 as a surprise for my son. It’s freaking amazing!!! Solid build, super tough, gorgeous finish. Had a question regarding the settings and they responded to my Facebook message in under a minute. I have some handmade sabers I put together a few years ago from TCSS parts and this is every bit as capable, more durable and a beautiful finish, for a great price. Can’t recommend enough. My son is going to be SO excited!!!

Firstly, the customer service of AusSabers is excellent. I got a reply on Facebook in a matter of minutes, with a concise, yet detailed, answer to my question. They are incredibly deserving of their reputation.
Secondly, I placed my order over the Labour Day (conveniently also the May 4th weekend) long weekend and my order was shipped the following business day. Given that they would have been swamped with orders, I am incredibly impressed with how quickly they worked through the backlog. Clearly a hard working small business with only one thing in mind – customer satisfaction.
Thirdly, it’s just a great saber. I got it for $152 (Xeno3 RGB + heavy grade blade) + $20 shipping. By far the most affordable stunt saber on the market. Xeno3 RGB is rated for medium dueling (but I’ve been told to be weary of heavy dueling if I choose to install an SD card, so I thought I should note this for any prospective buyers). A lot of cheap sabers tend to boring – just be a flashlight with a stick – but I find this design to be very tasteful while also being functional.
